Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."
Genesis also says that he put lights in the sky to separate day and night. (v 14)
I believe in the God of the Bible and I believe this account of creation is true, according to my faith and according to logic. Having just watched the Stephen Hawking video that was also posted on this page, it seems to me that they are looking for an answer anywhere other than God, and their answer seems intentionally complex in order to confuse people into just trusting the genius minds of those such as Hawking and Darwin. The Genesis account makes sense and leaves nothing of creation unaccounted for, whereas the Big Bang doesn't describe how life became to being, or how atoms came into existence or why. I also enjoy the fact that if the Genesis account is true (which I strongly believe it is) it proves that there is a purpose to life and humans aren't here to simply exists, we are here to thrive as God's children.
